With November here and your first fall semester nearly over, now is the time to go out and explore the city of College Station. That is if you haven’t already. This is your new home and it has so much to offer you.

From outdoor festivals to nightlife offerings, there’s a ton of events and activities to get involved in. The following is a quick look at some of the more anticipated events happening this month in College Station:

4 November College Station Events to Get Excited About

  • Questival, November 10-11.  Ever wish you were on Naked & Afraid or some similar outdoor, adventure show? Then Questival is the event you’ve been waiting for. This is a unique 24-hour adventure race that participants complete with a team of up to six people. But this isn’t just any race. Questival activities include a variety of challenges designed to excite, educate, and entertain. We definitely recommend checking it out for yourself!
  • Aggie’s Last Home Game vs. New Mexico, November 11. One bittersweet aspect of November is that it harkens the end of the football season. The sweet part of this is that you can bet there’s going to be quite the partying on the last home game. On Saturday, November, 11, the Aggie football team will face off against the University of New Mexico. Not only is this the last official home game, but it also happens to marked as this year’s Military Appreciation Day. Texas A&M has a strong military tradition and this appreciation day is just one of the many ways our community shows respect to service men and women.
  • Turkey Trot 5k and 1 Mile Family Fun Run, November 24.  If you’re staying in tow for the holidays and want to really work up an appetite, then you need to sign up for the annual Turkey Trot. The event has grown in recent years to become the largest non-marathon BCS Race Series race. It’s big and it’s fun, and it’s for a good cause. All race proceeds (tickets are $15 for students) will benefit Mercy Project. This is a locally-based non-profit organization working to rescue children from slavery in Ghana, Africa.
  • Another great running event happening earlier in the month is the 2nd Annual Strut Your Mutt 5k. This is an event that promises to bring out the cutest, the furriest, and the down-right most adorable pups in the city.

Naturally, this is just a short look at the many exciting events waiting for you this month in College Station. Let us know what you’re looking forward to the most this month!
